MANAGER / ASSISTANT MANAGER – ELECTRICAL
At LAUGFS Corporation (Rubber) Ltd., established in 2008, we operate one of the largest manufacturing facilities in Sri Lanka, specialising in the production of solid, press-on, resilient, skid-steer, and custom-designed tyres that meet international standards. Our tyres are proudly exported to over 50 countries, including the USA, Canada, Spain, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, Russia, the Middle East, Singapore, and India.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify electrical maintenance requirements and attend to all electrical, electronic, and programming-related breakdowns.
- Identify and coordinate servicing requirements of plant machinery (e.g., air compressors, generators, etc.).
- Execute Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PDM) programs and revise them as required.
- Coordinate with other departments to complete projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Design, implement, and troubleshoot electrical power distribution systems and PLC-based control systems.
- Initiate and support energy conservation projects in line with ISO 50001 standards.
- Coordinate with the HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) department to ensure compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Lead the electrical maintenance team to achieve departmental targets and conduct training programs for engineering and production teams.
- Liaise with government authorities and external bodies for plant-related requirements (e.g., CEB, NCPC, CEA).
- Carry out any other special projects assigned by management.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in a similar field.
- Highly energetic, innovative, analytical, self-motivated, and target-oriented.
- Sound computer literacy in MS Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and AutoCAD.
- Knowledge and experience in LEAN Management and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) will be an added advantage.
