Qualifications & Requirements
Lecturer (Probationary) / Lecturer (Unconfirmed) / Senior Lecturer Grade II/I
- Academic qualifications corresponding to University Grants Commission (UGC) standards for relevant lecturer grades.
- Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in Mega Faunal Taxa, Climate Change, Environmental Geology, or Biomedical Sciences.
Chief Medical Officer
- Medical degree recognized by the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) with relevant post-qualification clinical and administrative experience.
Assistant Internal Auditor (on Contract)
- Relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, or professional audit qualifications (CA, ACCA, CIMA) with auditing experience.
Electrical Engineer (On Assignment Basis)
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university with relevant practical experience.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Positions
- Conduct lectures, practical sessions, and field studies for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
- Engage in academic research, publish papers, and participate in departmental curriculum development.
Administrative & Technical Positions
- Chief Medical Officer: Direct medical operations, oversee campus healthcare facilities, and handle staff and student medical requirements.
- Assistant Internal Auditor: Perform internal audit inspections, evaluate financial controls, and prepare risk compliance reports.
- Electrical Engineer: Oversee campus electrical infrastructure projects, maintain equipment safety, and direct planning operations.

- Candidates must submit the hard copy of the generated PDF document bearing their signature.
- Any alterations made to the original document or non-submission of the hard copy will result in disqualification.
- If currently employed at a higher educational institution, government department, or government corporation, the recommendation of the head of the institution must be included.
- Certified copies of relevant educational (including transcripts), professional, extra-curricular, and service certificates must be enclosed.
- Complete application sets must be forwarded via registered post and email (recruit@ace.cmb.ac.lk) to the Deputy Registrar / Academic Establishments, University of Colombo, 94, Cumaratunga Munidasa Mawatha, Colombo 03 on or before the deadline.
