We are currently looking for a talented and driven professional to join our team as an Accounts Executive based in Ja-Ela.

Role Overview & Core Purpose

This position is designed for an energetic finance professional who can manage day-to-day accounts, handle financial reporting standards, and ensure precise ledger maintenance under minimal supervision. You will work closely with senior consultants and corporate clients to support complex accounting workflows, maintain rigorous compliance standards, and deliver reliable financial data that drives sound business decisions.

Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Maintain and oversee day-to-day accounting records, general ledgers, and financial books with meticulous accuracy.
• Handle routine financial reporting, bank reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
• Assist senior advisory teams with audit preparations, tax computations, and statutory compliance filings for diverse corporate clients.
• Utilize computer-based accounting packages to generate financial statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
• Coordinate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve financial inquiries and streamline documentation processes.
• Meet critical operational deadlines while adhering strictly to professional accounting principles and ethical guidelines.

Candidate Qualifications & Professional Requirements

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria specified by Chart Consultants:

• Professional Qualification: Must possess a CBA or CCA qualification from CA Sri Lanka.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on working experience in a similar accounting or finance role.
• Technical Knowledge: Excellent, practical knowledge of core accounting and financial principles.
• Software Competency: Demonstrated working knowledge of QuickBooks or similar computer-based accounting software systems.
• Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Good communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
• Work Ethic & Independence: Proven ability to work independently with minimum supervision, manage tight schedules, and meet stringent deadlines.
• Team Orientation: A collaborative mindset and a strong track record of being a good team player.
