Senior Merchandiser (Fabric & Trim Procurement)

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end procurement of fabrics and trims – from sourcing to final order placement

Negotiate prices, timelines, and terms with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality

Build, maintain, and expand a reliable network of suppliers both locally and internationally

Own the re-ordering process for raw materials to maintain optimal stock levels across collections
-
Analyze inventory levels and forecast demand in collaboration with the product and retail teams
-
Conduct product costing to ensure margin targets are met while staying competitive

Track deliveries, manage timelines, and troubleshoot supplier issues to keep production on schedule

Collaborate with design, production, and warehouse teams to ensure seamless execution from concept to launch
Required Experience & Skills

Minimum 5+ years experience in a similar senior merchandising role in apparel or textile

Strong fabric and trim knowledge – you should know your cottons from your modal and your knits from your wovens

Proven track record in supplier negotiation, costing, and sourcing

Proficient in inventory analysis and demand forecasting
-
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects at once

Fast, proactive worker with strong problem-solving skills
-
Familiar with ERP systems and Excel (bonus if you’ve used Odoo)
