Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site Delivery Rider role based in Colombo. The Delivery Rider is responsible for picking up and delivering packages, documents, or food orders accurately and on time, following assigned routes and schedules. The role includes checking orders, loading items securely, and using mobile applications or GPS to navigate to customer locations. The Delivery Rider will interact with customers in a polite and professional manner, collect payments or obtain delivery confirmations when required, and report any delays, issues, or incidents to the supervisor. Daily tasks also include basic vehicle or motorcycle checks, adherence to traffic and safety regulations, and maintaining delivery equipment in good condition.
Qualifications:

Ability to safely operate a motorcycle or scooter, with a valid riding license and good knowledge of Colombo routes and traffic conditions.

Strong time management and basic navigation skills, including use of maps, GPS, and mobile delivery applications.

Customer-focused mindset with clear communication skills and a courteous, professional approach when dealing with customers and team members.

Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills to handle cash collections, delivery confirmations, and simple documentation accurately.

Physical ability to sit, ride, and handle packages for extended periods, with a strong focus on safety and compliance with traffic regulations.

Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, or holidays if required.

Prior experience as a delivery rider, courier, or in a similar field is an advantage but not mandatory.

Familiarity with basic safety gear (helmet, reflective wear) and willingness to follow company safety standards at all times.
