Assistant Pharmacist
Kings Hospital Colombo is looking for an efficient, dedicated, and detail-oriented Assistant Pharmacist to join our pharmacy team. You will play a vital role in supporting our daily pharmacy operations and ensuring that our patients receive safe, accurate, and timely medication services.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Chief Pharmacist in preparing, compounding, and dispensing prescription medications for patients.

Receive, check, and organize incoming drug stocks, ensuring proper storage according to safety guidelines.

Monitor inventory levels, keep track of expiration dates, and report shortages to management.

Handle billing transactions and maintain accurate digital records of prescriptions and sales.

Provide friendly and helpful service to patients at the counter, answering basic inquiries.
Job Requirements:

An educational background in pharmacy (Degree, Diploma, or relevant certificate course).

Prior experience working in a hospital or retail pharmacy environment is highly preferred.

Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and good organizational skills.

Basic computer literacy for managing billing and inventory systems.
